Questions & Answers

Why did you start blogging?
My brother Nilabh (Author of Swayamwar: A very well written mythological book. I have done a completely unbiased book review HERE) literally dragged me to this really beautiful and interesting world.

You're getting an all expenses paid trip for two to a place of your choice. Where will it be and with whom?
Any place that is beautifully embellished with nature! And with my spouse of course!

For me it's none (As pets).

Half a million dollar for slogging for six months a year or a week's peace on the beaches of Bahamas?
I'll go for slogging for six months a year (It's satisfactory to get anything nice after hard work). I can get peace on the beaches of Bahamas with a handsome bank account.

Umm...

How did you propose your girl/guy? Or how do you plan to do so?
My parents did it for me (I wouldn't have done it in any case. A guy should take this initiative after all)

Of course there are some but the fact is that we don't have a choice to undo things (Read Recurring Memories)

Yes. Of course I will. (I do it quite often...hai na?)

I would like to nominate all those bloggers who manage their blogs creatively and regularly (Too many to list!) (and who visit my blog of course!:D )

Happiness is waiting ahead!

Feeling happy is a mistake
Expressing it is a sin
Expectations evaporate ruthlessly
Wishes often go into the trash bin

I know it's my fault
Destiny is not to be blamed always
Everything will be fine someday
Embers of stubborn hope says

Series of troubles exhausts life
Getting harsh sunlight no shade
Wan smile pats and indicates
Happiness is waiting ahead!

Stay united...

Stay united in
Adversity, keep stupid
Arguments aside

Sometimes, people tend to argue when in trouble. It's totally unwise. In adverse situation, we need to understand and support each other, to fight the hurdles together. Leave your own fights for some other time:)

Recurring Memories

Just can't forget those
Recurring, unfortunate memories,
They haunt me terribly!

I wish life had an undo button! If only we got a second chance to make things alright!

People say bygones are bygones. We can't change whatever has happened in our lives so, not looking back is a good option. But some memories/incidents whirl in our mind like an eddy in specific interval. How hard we try but we just can't forget it. Those scenes run like reel.

We sometimes feel really sorry for those incidents when due to our own ignorance, hesitation or inability of taking correct decision, something went wrong.

Oh! we feel, if only we'd thought or acted wisely...

But the fact is that we don't have the privilege to undo things.

We are bound to regret our mistakes, (to realize it...actually & to learn). We just have to cope, learn and move on. Well, learning is important because first time you do things incorrectly, it's mistake. But when you repeat it, it's mostly your choice. And we are not always lucky enough to get several chances!:)

Because Shit Happened: by Harsh Snehanshu

Finished reading Because Shit Happened by Harsh Snehanshu. He is an IITian and author of four books.

This book tells about Amol Sabharwal who writes interesting one liners (and feels that unique quotes written by normal people should get recognition). This gives birth to the idea of a start-up venture yourquote.in. He is passionate about this business (Calls it his baby), puts a lot of effort, sacrifices some important things but finally one fateful day he decides to quit.

What makes him to take this difficult decision? If you want to know then go ahead, this book will tell you all about starting a dream venture and what NOT to do in a start-up!

I've read his first book and found it a nice read (Considering he was a first time author). As far as this book is concerned, I wasn't very much interested in Amol's venture (I've (Again) read some really nice reviews and so decided to read it). I'm not impressed with author's writing style (Considering it's his 'fourth' book. I felt it hasn't gained maturity with time and experience :( )  It seemed that he is narrating daily routine of the protagonist, (as if translating his synchronized thoughts) that is slow (Amol doesn't leave any moment of his daily life!).

But there are of course some nice things in this book. First of all, the quotes by Amol. Then it's book cover! It goes really well with the subject. And above all, the prologue of this story. I really liked it!

Overall, for me, it was an average read. But...it will be a nice read for youngsters and budding entrepreneurs. So if you're one of them, go grab it!:)

This unbiased book review is for Random House India (Random Reads: Official blog of RHI). Thanks!

No accusations: just you and your conscience

Be the master of your thoughts
Don't let it spring up from some other mind
Take your own decisions, wisely
Don't let it be influenced by anything

Trust your own conscience
Realize your mistake
Don't get carried away
Don't accuse!

Accusing someone for some ill happenings in our life is the easiest thing we can do. It happened because of you! We say very easily. Sometimes, our decisions and thoughts are influenced by others. Our conscience gets overpowered. We fail to act straightforwardly.

Being nice is good. But being too (Unnecessarily) nice is sometimes stupid. Don't allow someone else to master your life? Because, at some point of time, it may arise the situation when we feel like accusing someone else for our own problems, sometimes without realizing the reality. People often accuse God for our misfortune. Sometimes they accuse their destiny. But when you analyse closely, sometimes, it's our own mistake or lack of knowledge which lead us to a difficult situation.

People accuse someone else for three main reasons:

First, when they are compelled by their nature. Some people have the tendency to blame others for every mishap.

Second, When they desperately want to defend themselves. Before anyone could blame them, accuse someone else!

And third, when they are trapped in the quagmire of troubles. They may not have the tendency of putting accusation on others but adverse situation snatch their conscience and they start to think that that particular situation is just because of any A B C D.

You can think prudently. You can take right and wise decisions. Don't let others rule your thoughts. And prevent yourself from firing the bullets of accusations on others. Believe me, it creates many complications in life, especially when you do it without realizing the reality. Moreover, it can play a pivotal role in embittering relationships.
