Night is an obscure darkness
Which shudders yet,
Gives a hope of roseate hues of dawn.
Parting is such sweet sorrow
Which agonizes yet,
Gives a hope of reunion.
Defeat is such awful experience
Which disheartens yet,
Gives a hope of victory.

Om other words, 'It's always darkest before the dawn'! I enjoyed this.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much :)
ReplyDeleteThis does give hope
ReplyDeletethis is quite lovely but I fear not a Haiku. A Haiku is not just 3 lines but 5 syllables 7 syllables and 5 syllables again it is a structured poem. This is very pretty albeit no Haiku sorry
ReplyDeleteActually I'm a bit novice in this genre. But I won't stop trying. By the way, Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI like your poem. The compare and contrast pattern is interesting. I like showing the down-side and the up-side. It helps people like me remember both.
ReplyDeleteThanks gsb3, welcome to my blog. I'm glad you liked it.
