Hope

          Night is an obscure darkness
          Which shudders yet,
Gives a hope of roseate hues of dawn.

          Parting is such sweet sorrow
          Which agonizes yet,
          Gives a hope of reunion.

          Defeat is such awful experience
          Which disheartens yet,
          Gives a hope of victory.

  2. this is quite lovely but I fear not a Haiku. A Haiku is not just 3 lines but 5 syllables 7 syllables and 5 syllables again it is a structured poem. This is very pretty albeit no Haiku sorry

  3. Actually I'm a bit novice in this genre. But I won't stop trying. By the way, Thanks.

  4. I like your poem. The compare and contrast pattern is interesting. I like showing the down-side and the up-side. It helps people like me remember both.
