You Were Not Mine!?

Your blissful arrival
Smiles so precious
Shining eyes
Your touch so soothing
Anguish that melted with happiness
You sprinkled all around
You showered love,
Oh, so much love!
Overwhelmed with joy and fulfillment
I didn't know you were not mine
Until they told me....
When you said a final goodbye!

This is sad even in the faux acceptance and letting go. Can we ever let go of our love when it comes into our life?

much love...
