Between the dark and the daylight
When the night is beginning to lower
Comes a pause in the day’s occupation
That is known as the children’s hour.
She adhered at the balcony and…
…took a glimpse of the beautiful park.
Giggles of chuckling girls…
…resonated the aura like a lark.
Swinging & singing together
Their face gleamed with delight.
Gesture reflecting the gist of liberty.
As the swing took the flight.
Attributes of childhood are…
…No worries and no mess,
No superiority complex and jealousy
Only virtue and heartfelt happiness
Yes, this is the freedom indeed
She realized.
She traveled in the reminiscences
…and became nostalgic.
Life, now seemed tedious
Permeated with jumble and boredom.
She too wanted to burst into guffaws
And absorb the essence of freedom.

This works well for the prompt, and I enjoyed the view from the balcony. It was delightful!

ReplyDeleteI remember when...
ReplyDeleteAs adults, we don't have the same kind of freedom like we did when we were kids (job, mortgage, bills, life, etc.)
Lovely imagery.
Thank you so much Meryl & Andy.
