Solitude is a friend!

Sitting alone,

I listen to silence;

A silky breeze hums a song;

Golden sun rays reflect warmth;

The colors of nature

paint my heart with pure bliss.
Dancing butterflies

bring a smile to my lips.

Dews,

glistening on delicate flowers

exude freshness;

Gurgling streams

say a happy goodbye;

Vibrant birds limber up.

to fly over a limitless horizon.

Wide, azure sky

evokes a sense of freedom.

'You're not alone,'

this serene aura says.

It seems as if

Solitude is a friend!

    Way back in the 60s, when dinosaurs still roamed the earth, Simon and Garfunkel had a song called The Sound of Silence. Great song, great memories. Thank you for reviving them.
