Oh Rain!

Whiskers of wind
Turned chilly from scorching
And trees started to dance
With their whispery tune

Vigorous sunrays
Became soft
Making the whole aura
Fresh like dew

Heaps of dark cloud
Veiled the sun
Suppressing its intensity
Creating a different hue

Oh Rain! you’re coming
 Shower your blessings
And reprieve us from the
Torture of summer.

  5. Very nice. Where I live, we look forward to rain, even though it often brings damage along with it. It's good to see a positive take on it.

  13. Tarang,
Anticipation of rain is a pastime for some but survival for many others. Beautifully rendered!

  14. I lived with monsoon when I was a young man. Sometimes the rain filled heavy cloud seemed tightly defined and only yards above my head. Such looming deluge took on a dark aspect unique to monsoon clouds. So many people hate the rain in my country. I loved it there in Bangladesh and I love it here. Oregon's Willamette Valley would be temperate rain forest if men left it alone.

Of course in Bangladesh 40% of the land is seasonally under water because of the monsoon. That is lamentable and contributes a great deal to its position as one of the most crowded countries on earth.
