A confused soul

Trapped in the whirl of
Uncertainty, a confused
Soul shrieks...rescue me!

Time is running fast
Prospects are slipping, yearns for
words of assurance

  1. Great interpretaion of the prompt. Trapped by our own uncertainty - perhaps no one can rescue us from what we have created on our own?

  5. I like this. It tells a story. Maybe a new Dr Who episode outlined in haiku?

  7. really enjoyed the time slipping piece: it doesn't matter how much one convinces oneself it isn't a big deal, there is always that nagging old "time slipping" eating away.

  8. Sometimes only words are that we need to rescue a soul from a state of wretchedness. Lovely haiku!

  11. I find both of these chilling really. I seem to get a different message from them than some of the other readers. I read the words of desperation rather than hope. Nice writing, and thanks for participating in Poets United!

  12. this is a yearning that seems endless... no matter how much one is reassured, it returns again and again.

  14. I can remember feelings like this, which you have captured well. One wants to assure the narrator: trust the unfolding - for all will be well.

  18. @ Mary: Desperation is somehow common for a confused soul, trapped in an eddy of uncertainty, as it desperately yearns to come out of that phase...Thank you!:)

@ Laura: Maybe you're right. One has to put effort to get out of this situation. But words of assurance bring some solace to some extent :)

@ Judy Roney: Glad you felt what I tried to portray. Thanks!:)
